MEDICE Supports Widespread Pandemic Containment

In March 2021, MEDICE received approval for the production of rapid antigen self-tests, making another critical contribution to meeting the necessary demand of such products.

The tests are easy to use: A nasal swab at a depth of only 2.5 cm is sufficient, and the test result is available within a few minutes with very high accuracy. In addition, MEDICE's tests are also suitable for detecting the new mutations, e.g. from England and South Africa. Compared to conventional tests, SARS-CoV-2 infections can be detected very early, even with very low virus counts.

Medicovid-AG SARS-CoV-2 self-tests are also used for in-house testing strategies. Employees in the field and employees with daily presence in the office or production have to test themselves twice a week before starting work. Employees who work in a home office and are only in the company occasionally must test themselves each time before entering the premises.
