MEDICE Constructs Sustainable Building for Shipments

The expansion of operations in Iserlohn, the headquarters of MEDICE Arzneimittel Pütter GmbH & Co. KG, continues with the addition of a new dispatch building directly next to the entrance on Medice Allee.

The construction work is completed and the offices on the upper floor are already occupied. The mail order business on the first floor will be fully operational in May.

The new shipment building was constructed under the latest sustainability standards. The materials used were carefully selected so energy consumption and the CO2 balance are very low. The photovoltaic system on the roof uses freely available and renewable solar energy, and therefore contributes to the company's power supply.

The existing tunnel next to the building was extended, which ensured the continuing connection of the automatic conveyor system, which runs between the shipping building, the on-site production and the high-bay warehouse.

The new dispatch building meets the stringent requirements for the logistics of narcotics; so both the storage, picking, and dispatch of these products are controlled from here.

All other products are shipped from the new shipping building to a logistics service provider in Bielefeld, who then forwards them to our customers throughout Germany.

The new shipping department also controls international business, supplying products to subsidiaries and partner companies in almost 50 countries worldwide.
